Buying and selling secondhand out here looks a little different than in a city. There's no Facebook Marketplace pickup queue or app notification pinging every few minutes — mostly it's a truck parked at the feed store with a "for sale" sign in the window, or word passed along at the post office. This marketplace exists to widen that same word-of-mouth network a little, so a good used stock tank, a set of tires, or a horse trailer someone's ready to part with can find a buyer beyond whoever happens to drive by that week.

Common items posted here include farm and ranch equipment, furniture, tools, vehicles, and livestock. When you're arranging a pickup, it's worth confirming the item's condition over the phone before making the drive out — many properties in Concho and St. Johns are a fair distance from the highway, and a wasted trip is a real cost in gas and time. If you're selling something large like a trailer or equipment, a couple of clear photos in your listing request go a long way toward a faster sale.
